Follow for quite a way. Cross over Monument Road and continue on until Veld Street. Turn left. First turn right. Goodies for Gardens will be on your right.

May 2010 GGT - Mother's Day Breakfast

I hosted this month's GGT - and we all joined together for a wonderful Mother's Day Breakfast to raise funds for 1st Benoni Scouts.

My table (above) had some of the GGT ladies....

and Sharon kindly hosted some more of the GGT ladies.

Lorna Tink hosted 2 tables - isn't this just beautiful - and they wond the prize for the best table - well done!

There were 2 brilliant guest speakers.

This young lady spoke about the recent hominid find near the Sterkfontein Caves.

What a fantastic and interesting talk.

Her passion for her career just oozes from her!

This young guy spoke about his participation in the para-olympics.

What an inspirational young person - who believes in what he dreams!

A great GGT - and I think we all had a great time.

Air Balloon Trip - 18th March

What a trip! Some of us were lucky enough to take a trip in the Absa Balloon at Monte Casina!

.... and what a wonderful experience....

We had some new faces join us .... so welcome, we hope you had a great evening!

The wind was blowing quite strongly and they had to do a test run before letting us go up.

Champagne to calm the nerves!

There were 5 of us who were lucky enough to go up.

"Hold on tight for take off"

Room with a view.

We were not up long - probably 5 minutes - as the wind got really strong and there was lightning on the horizon.

It was then off to the Ocean Basket for dinner.

Delicious!

A beautiful picture - an end to a lovely evening.
